With a 1 year old and a new baby on the way, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are going to have their hands full.

In a blog posting on his band’s website, the Good Charlotte frontman writes:

“What’s better than winning an Oscar? I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope your all feeling as good as i am right now.”

The happily unmarried couple welcomed daughter Harlow on January 11, 2008. Richie, 27, and Madden, 29, have been together since December 2006.

Prim and proper Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift looked like butter wouldn’t melt in their mouths as they sang together at the Grammys.

But backstage, the teen queens made a gruesome twosome, insiders say, laughing and poking fun at their fellow performers, including their ex-boyfriends, Nick and Joe Jonas!

“Miley and Taylor spent most of the night ragging on the Jonas Brothers,” says a source. “These two are merciless when they get together. They were talking smack about Katy Perry’s outfit and how boring Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were.”

Even pals Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez can’t escape their teasing. “Miley and Taylor seem sweet, but they can act like snotty little brats.”

Police Investigating Rihanna Photo Leak

Los Angeles police have opened an internal investigation into who illicitly leaked a closeup photograph of Rihanna’s brutalized face purportedly taken after her Feb. 8 altercation with Chris Brown.

“The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence,” the LAPD said in a statement Thursday. The department has yet to publicly identify Rihanna as the alleged victim in Brown’s case.

“A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.”

The LAPD says that it immediately launched an investigation after its media relations department was inundated with press inquiries about the picture, which first surfaced on TMZ.com and which appeared to the cops to be a photo taken “during an official domestic violence investigation.”

Leaked Oscar Winner List Is FAKE!

A document listing each Oscar category—with the name of a winner beside it—that appears to have been signed by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Sid Ganis has been making the Internet rounds, thereby spoiling…absolutely nothing.

“The document is a complete fraud,” Academy spokeswoman Leslie Unger tells Celebrity Bl0g in response to the purported awards-season leakage.

“PricewaterhouseCoopers is still counting the ballots, and there are only two people there who will know the complete list of winners in advance of the envelopes being opened during the ceremony,” Unger says. “The Academy’s president is not advised of the winners in advance, and no such list is created.”

Rihanna Beat Down Pic

TMZ has released a shocking photo Thursday night of singer Rihanna bruised and battered. The photo is reportedly in relation to the alleged fight the singer had with her boyfriend Chris Brown.

In the photo, Rihanna is seen with cuts on her lips, contusions on her forehead, and what appear to be bite marks on her face. The disturbing photo has already made rounds on several blog sites, and has been released, ironically, one day before her 21st birthday.

According to People.com, a family member of Rihanna has spoken out, saying that Brown, “flew so far under everyone’s radar that we just didn’t think he was that [abusive] type…he was always looking after her needs making sure she was happy.”

“I don’t want her to go back to him,” the relative added. “I don’t think anyone does.”

Brown has hired PR firm Sitrick And Company, Inc. who specializes in crises management, to issue a statement over the weekend, where Brown says that he is “sorry and saddened” by what occurred and that he is seeking counseling from family and friends.

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired,” the statement from the 19-year-old R&B star read. “I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.”

Brown must appear in court March 5.

Rihanna Still In Love With Chris

Chris Brown left her bruised and battered, but, according to friends, Rihanna can’t help her deep feelings for her boyfriend of more than a year.

Sources say the singer has stayed in touch with her battering beau — and her unhealthy devotion to him is making those close to the abused singer worried sick.

“She keeps saying she wants to make sure that he’s okay,” a friend tells. “She thinks this will all just blow over and they can go back to how they were.”

MC Hammer Is Back

Hammer has been out the spotlight for a while, but now the legendary performer is going to invite the public back into his world in a new reality series called, “Hammertime.”

The show, set to air on A&E, is a real-life “The Cosby Show,” executive producer J.D. Roth says. “Hammertime” will star the rapper’s wife and five kids.

“Here’s a dad with five kids, married to the same woman for more than 23 years, living in the same place where he grew up and going to church every Sunday,” Roth told the Hollywood Reporter. “He’s had his ups and downs, and it’s what makes him such a character you root for.”

A&E will debut 11 episodes of “Hammertime.” Shooting starts next week.

Russel Simmons Launches Wal-Mart Clothing Line

Russel Simmons has put his thinking cap on and launched a new clothing line catering to those affected by the Recession Boogeyman.

Simmons new clothing line, American Classic, made its debut at 350 Wal-Mart stores Sunday. The college prep-inspired line for “25-to-50-year-old men such as Will Smith, Adam Sandler, and Barack Obama,” is retailed between $9.99 and $29. American Classic comes five years after the hip hop mogul sold the iconic line Phat Farm to Kellwood Industries for $140 million.

Sly Says Arnold Is Expendable

So looks like the Governator took some heat after the producer of Sylvester Stallone’s new movie told us Arnold would leave Sacramento to shoot a scene for “The Expendables.” Now Sly himself is telling us Arnold will not shoot the scene, at least not now.

Arnold’s people and Sly say the Guv only has one thing on his mind right now and that’s the budget crisis. Sly says things could change once Arnold solves California’s woes. Read between the lines and it’s pretty clear Arnold had a big PR problem by putting the Legislature on lockdown and then agreeing to go off and shoot a movie.

So — Will Ahnold rescue Caleeefornia so he can do Sly’s movie next month?
