Daddy Spears Is Pissed

February 23, 2009

Britney SpearsThere’s a hearing underway this afternoon in the Britney Spears restraining order case against Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib.

Daddy Jamie Spears is on the stand right now, explaining that Britney somehow got her hands on a pre-paid cell phone which caused him fits because they have been strictly monitoring the phones she’s able to use.

The nanny heard Britney talking to Sam and Adnan on the pre-paid phone in the wee hours of the morning one day. It appears Jamie believes Sam and Adnan got her the phone in an attempt to poison her against Jamie and to torpedo the conservatorship.

If Sam did have any contact with Britney, he would have violated a court order to stay the hell away from her.

Jamie is trying to make the temporary restraining order against the dynamic duo permanent.

February 23, 2009

Beyonce KnowlesWith just two little words, Beyonce re-ignited the world’s biggest cat fight at the Oscars last night — belting out the same song Etta James threatened to “whip Beyonce’s ass” over just a few weeks ago.

Completely ignoring the verbal attack and physical threats Etta unleashed when B sang “At Last” at Obama’s Inauguration, Knowles busted out the song AGAIN during last night’s Oscar telecast — as the most dramatic moment of an absolutely horrendous musical number.

Miley: No Weirdness Between Me And My Dad

February 22, 2009

Teen queen Miley Cyrus doesn’t like to hear comments insinuating there’s something icky between her and her famous father.

In her new memoir, Miles to Go, the actress/singer says that it bothers her when people suggest there’s something inappropriate about her relationship with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.

“The media has said some stuff about my dad and me being too close and too cuddly for a father and a daughter,” the 16-year-old star says in the book. “For me and my dad it’s not weird at all.”

She adds that she loves her father (who plays her reel-life dad on Hannah Montana) and “we don’t let other people tell us what expressions we’re supposed to have on our faces when we take a picture together!”

Buzz about their relationship began at the time of her now-famous Annie Leibovitz shoot for Vanity Fair. In addition to posing for some semi-nude photos, she was seen reclining against her father with his arm around her shoulder.

She also opens up about how toward the end of the second season of Hannah Montana she fell into despair. A typical bout of acne turned into something bigger — what she refers to as a time of “self-hatred.”

Miley also says that she gets hurt reading Internet stories that criticize her, saying that some people are “so full of anger, hatred and bitterness.”

The book, which was co-written by Hilary Liftin, hits store shelves in April

Madea Goes To Jail Cashes In

February 22, 2009

Madea Goes to Jail, the comedy-drama starring Perry’s signature drag character, grossed a whopping $41.1 million in its weekend debut, its studio estimated today, the biggest Friday-Sunday take since Twilight‘s bow back in November.

Unfortunately the movie was rated a D+ so unless people all of a sudden get an urge to see a black man with no comedy skills in a dress this will be the first and last weekend for the movie to be #1.
